Sustainability & Compliance
This page is updated as our certifications progress. We will never claim a standard we have not been granted.
Supply Chain
AGR Kenya has voluntarily adopted the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas. We apply its five steps to every doré receipt:
Every receipt is logged, sealed, and tracked.
Origin, chain of custody, and counterparty risk are evaluated before refining begins.
High-risk parcels are escalated, suspended, or refused.
Annual third-party audit is mandated under our internal policy.
Public summary published each calendar year.
Environment
AGR Kenya operates under the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) framework. Air emissions are passed through a multi-stage fume treatment plant. Process water is treated to tertiary level before discharge. Solid residues are managed under a documented hazardous-waste plan with licensed handlers. We will publish annual environmental disclosures aligned with GRI standards.
Community
AGR Kenya commits to a Kenyan-majority workforce at all levels of the business, with structured training pathways for assayers, melt operators, and refining technicians. We will partner with Kenyan technical institutes to support a pipeline of certified gold-industry professionals.
